6.1 Days, weeks, months and years

There are 365 days in a normal calendar year.
There are 12 months in a year. Eleven of the months have
either 30 or 31 days.
But February, the second month of the year, has 28 days for
three consecutive years. In the fourth year, called a leap year,
February has 29 days. (Why?)
There are 52 complete weeks in a year. Each week has 7 days.
We use calendars to measure time in years, months, weeks,
and days.

Below is the calendar for 2016. The public holidays are marked in
yellow.
